The Christian speakers were fantastic, the Christian bands were rockin'. Everyone enjoyed the rides and attractions, as well as the tremendous Christian fellowship.
I didn't get to go. I had to work at the office. Bummer.
Ok , I can't really say bummer because I love preparing for our upcoming mission trips to the most famous pro tennis tournaments in the world! Plus, I'm developing my new tennis tour company which will take ICTA members & guests to the Slams... so bummer is kinda being used loosely here.
That said, I look forward to going next year!
Everyone didn't get back to the academy till 2:30am! Yep, 2:30am. Normally, we hit the sack around here by 10:30pm or so. Talk about sleepy missionaries! In fact, Kara snoozed till noon on Sunday.
I really enjoyed hearing how awesome Rock the Universe was for them. The whole gang was able to meet some of the performers backstage, which is pretty cool.
They really loved rocking to Third Day and Newsong!
In today's world it is so great to be able to send our kids to such tremendously positive and uplifting Christian events. These events are fun, informative, exciting, and life-impacting. Our missionary team grew deeper in their friendship with each others, bonded in stronger ways, enjoyed Christian fellowship.
All of this makes them stronger as they travel worldwide on their mission trips with ICTA's Pro Tennis Teams.
I'll leave you with a kiss!
God bless!
Scott Paschal
Ps. Below is the first blog entry for Rock the Universe, the "before" version. This one is the "after" version!

What are you doing this Saturday?
Come with the ICTA's academy to Universal Studios for a fantastic Christian event, Rock the Universe! Yes, world-class tennis players are actually going to a Christian event. Hard to believe, huh? But, it's true!
We'd love to have our ICTA Florida members attend with us.

This is our second year to go! Last year, the gang went as guests of one of the speakers, David Nasser, and everyone had a tremendous time. If you don't know David, check out his web site... www.davidnasser.com. This year, though he will be speaking in Canada, David hooked our tennis missionaries up with tickets again.
Rock the Universe is a neat idea! From 4:30pm till really late the shows/rides are all available. During this time and till around 11pm you can watch the top Christian worships bands such as Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, News Boys, Reliant K... as well as thought provoking speakers!
ICTA is heading to Orlando on Saturday around 1pm.
We'll meet at the front of Universal Studios at 3:30pm. If you'd like to come with us, give me a call... 386 793 0557. Tix at the gate are around $50 with tax .
